As a lady, keeping clean manicured nails is not a nice to have, but a simple necessity.Ā There is a level of class and sophistication a woman oozes when she looks after her nails.Ā It says, ā Iām a woman who makes time for my beautyā.Ā There are 4 simple techniques to achieving well-manicured nails.
- SNIP AND TRIM: To trim nails, make one clean cut across and leave the corners intact
- FILE AND SHAPE: Use a nail file or light emery board and stoke it in one direction, (not back and forth) to shape the edges. Then buff nails until they glow.
- ADDRESS CUTICLES: Gently push back cuticles with a wooden stick wrapped in cotton wool.
- PAINT: Start with a base coat. Then for a precise even coat of colour, donāt overload the brush with too much polish. When painting, press down slightly to fan out the bristles of the brush, and do it in three even strokes; one on each side and then one down the middle.Ā Clean off any mistakes with a pointed cotton swap dipped in nail-polish remover. Finish with a top coat.
Personally, Iām a fan of nude colours, but I enjoy a splash of colour from time to time.
